Terms of service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms govern your use of K8 HQ. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: hello@k8hq.com.
The service
K8 HQ provides business email for domains you own or control. You are responsible for your domains, the people you give access to, and keeping your sign-in methods and app passwords safe.
Acceptable use
- No unsolicited bulk or marketing email, purchased or scraped lists, phishing, malware, or content that is illegal where you or your recipients are.
- No attempts to break, overload or bypass the service's limits or security.
- Outgoing mail is scanned automatically. We may block messages and pause sending for a project or account that appears to send spam or harmful content, and we'll tell the owners why.
Credit and payment
- K8 HQ is prepaid. Usage is charged against your project's balance at the published prices in effect at the time.
- Unused purchased credit is refundable on request to the original payment method. Bonus credit is not refundable and is forfeited when remaining credit is refunded.
- When a project's balance reaches zero, sending is blocked until it is topped up. If it stays unpaid, incoming mail is deferred after 30 days, and the project is frozen after 60 days and deleted after about 12 months, with notices before each step and export available throughout.
Availability
We work hard to keep K8 HQ running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" without guarantees of uninterrupted availability, especially during early access.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Ending the service
You can close projects or your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. We'll give notice and an export window except where abuse or law requires immediate action.
Changes and law
We may update these terms with notice to account owners. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA.
